We're going to a housewarming-esque potluck in about 2 hours.
I saw this on Martha Stewart the other day and I thought it was perfect.
So this morning I went to World Market for a dishtowel and a spoon, Michael's for some raffia and then the grocery store for some French bread and jam. I had a budget of $20, so I couldn't get the jam I wanted to, so I got some organic something or other kind with a terribly drab label. Pretty paper + Xacto = quick fix.
Cost:
Dishtowels, pkg of 2: $8
Small Spoon: $1.50
French Bread: $1.75
Jam: $3
Raffia: $4 (to be used in the future as well)
I could only find long loaves of French bread, so I cut one in half and made a little paper wrapper for the part that I cut.
We also got them a flowering plant for their yard.
The best part of this party is that it's less than a mile from our house!
Okay, well that's all for now. Time to get ready!
