2011

I hope you all had a great time bringing in 2011!

We went out to High Noon Saloon and saw some bands.
One of the most hardest parts about living so far from Madison is that we don't get to go to as many shows as I'd like to, but I suppose it's saved us a fair bit of money and a few hangovers.

And it's allowed us to get more done around the house...there's nothing like wasting an entire day because you stayed out till 4 in the morning and you have to catch up on sleep. That's the worst!

Speaking of sleep, I was looking for a quick little project that I could do right before I went to bed the other night. I was pretty tired that day but still wanted to do something. So I gave my new deer a little scarf (made of red linen) and a little "2011" banner & hung him up on the wall. Typically I don't like much red in the house, but I thought this was a good time to use it. I smile whenever I look at him.

So yeah- it's 2011! Do you have a New Year's resolution this year?

Joe's is "to do more stuff"...haha, I love how elaborate he is.

I don't really have one other than to continue with self improvement, positive thinking and personal growth.

I started with all that in August and so far everything is going really well, although I have to admit that sometimes I feel so incredibly fake that it seems as if I'm not even in my own skin. I think it's part of the transitioning process- we'll see if I can come full circle by this August. I've been doing a lot of things to help myself get there, but it's definitely not something that happens overnight. Although it is pretty impressive how quickly you can feel yourself change.

Anyway, enough with that sappy shit (see- that's the real erin coming through, haha).
Cheers to 2011!

Happy 2011 to you! I love that little reindeer...he's so festive!

And it's so very impressive that you carried through with your project even after a long day. You will inspire me to keep moving the next time I'm feeling all lazybones...
